JAZZ GITAN - pronounced JAZZ J'TAN - is a jazz ensemble that carries on the tradition of gypsy swing created by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli during their domination of the Paris jazz scene during the 1930s. The “Hot Club” style of jazz is ideal for all occasions; from nightclubs to swing dances to elegant dinner parties and weddings. The music of JAZZ GITAN is the swinging jazz of the 30s and 40s, plus a cross-section of songs from the modern Gypsy Jazz repertoire. With instrumentation similar to Django’s Hot Club, Don Price and Jazz Gitan provides exciting, engaging music for all to enjoy.
